Why the $5.24 & $52.40 donation suggestion?

In 2022, Governor DeSantis signed SB 524 into law, and one of its effects was to ban Ranked Choice Voting in Florida. Few of the legislators who voted it through even knew what RCV was, let alone its benefits. We believe that by educating citizens, legislators, and community leaders throughout Florida about RCV and building up serious support behind it, WE CAN OVERTURN THE BAN. Florida cities and towns should have the freedom to determine their own election systems. Moreover, voters deserve more voice and more choice on the ballot, less negative campaigning, and their time and money saved from needless runoff elections. Please sustain our organization’s mission by making a monthly donation of $5.24 or $52.40 or more!
