Ranked Choice Voting--What Is It & How Can It Help Gainesville (2nd Mtg)

2nd of two meetings in Gainesville this week to learn about ranked choice voting and how it can help our local, state, and national politics

For those who couldn't make the Florida Free Speech Forum Luncheon on 12/9, this is a great second opportunity to learn about ranked choice voting. And even if you did go to the Luncheon, we would love to see you at this meeting too!

Join us to enjoy good conversation with friends and neighbors, learn everything you need to know about Ranked Choice Voting from expert speakers, and share your ideas about how we can advance Ranked Choice Voting locally, statewide, and nationally.

Voters deserve a greater voice in our elections. Recently dubbed the “one reform to save America” by columnist David Brooks, Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) gives voters more voice, and might even help us fix our troubled political system.

In 2016, Maine became the first state in US history to enact RCV statewide. A few weeks ago, voters in NYC -- the largest city in America -- enacted Ranked Choice Voting with a whopping 74% support.

Ranked Choice Voting is on the move -- having been implemented within 20 states so far -- so let’s get together to discuss how to advance RCV in our community.

We will be meeting at the Gainesville Senior Citizen Center, 5701 NW 34th Blvd
